Is it worth a closer look?
Compare the specific Noom plan, not the lowest price under the brand.
Reasons to consider it
- Distinct branded-medication pathway
- App-based follow-up and behavior-change program
Worth a closer look
- Branded medication costs extra
- Quarterly billing after the introductory month
One name, several different offers
Noom’s pricing page separates medication-inclusive GLP-1 programs from Telehealth for Branded Meds. The branded pathway starts at $39, followed by a stated $99 monthly equivalent billed quarterly. It includes clinical care and the digital program, but not the medication.
That distinction makes the branded plan a more useful starting point for a reader with prescription coverage than a comparison against the lowest compounded-program offer. Decide which service you want priced before comparing the headline. Noom Weight, the non-medication program, is another separate product.
Where the branded prescription goes
Noom’s branded-medication support page lists Wegovy pens and oral pills, Zepbound vials and KwikPen, and Foundayo. It describes manufacturer-pharmacy fulfillment for cash-pay prescriptions and a preferred local or online pharmacy for insurance-based prescriptions.
Care coordinators can assist with authorization and coupon questions, but Noom says they cannot guarantee coverage or the final bill. Refills require check-ins and clinical review. A listed medication is an option for the clinician to consider, not a promise of a particular prescription.
Read the refund trigger before the visit
The published refund policy distinguishes between plans. For Telehealth for Branded Meds, it says refunds are unavailable after a clinical visit. For medication-inclusive Noom Med programs, the trigger is when a prescription has been written. It also says renewal charges are not refundable.
Ask which terms apply to the plan in your checkout, when the next payment occurs and how to cancel before renewal. Removing the app is not cancellation. Save the confirmation from the subscription portal or app, and clarify any pending refill with the care team.
Who should compare it closely
Noom may merit a closer look if you want a behavior-change program alongside prescription care and expect to use the app regularly. If you only want individual clinical appointments, compare a per-visit service before paying for ongoing program access. Our QuickMD review covers that visit-based alternative.
The important budget question is not whether the first month looks inexpensive. It is whether the recurring service fee adds value after the separate pharmacy bill. Request the actual quarterly charge rather than treating a monthly equivalent as a monthly payment. Use our insurance checklist to keep a prospective coverage decision separate from a confirmed pharmacy price.
What this assessment covers
This review assesses the published program structure, medication routes and billing terms. We have not enrolled in Noom Med, measured support response times or independently established treatment outcomes. Promotional weight-loss figures are not forecasts for an individual reader.
Before enrollment, confirm state availability, the intended care pathway and your full payment schedule. Ask the clinician which treatment is appropriate; use the enrollment team to settle service and billing questions.
What to ask before committing
Use the cost worksheet to compare the full amount due today, renewal terms, and any required consultation, laboratory, medication, supply or shipping fees. Check availability where you live and how you can reach support after signing up.
For prescription care, ask who will evaluate you and which pharmacy would dispense your medication. A provider comparison cannot determine whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
