Michael Hayes’s take

The decision behind the offer.

The useful part of BeyondMD is choice. The difficult part is comparing unlike offers: a consultation fee and an injection-program price should never sit in the same budget column.

What stands out

  • Clearly separated program names
  • Both branded consultation and compounded pathways

Where I would pause

  • Starting prices do not settle renewal cost
  • Oral and injectable preparations are different comparisons

Read the program name before the price

BeyondMD lists compounded semaglutide injections from $125 and tirzepatide injections from $199. Wegovy and Zepbound appear as consultation programs starting at $129. The word consultation does real work here: that number does not establish the cost of a filled branded prescription.

I would write the exact program name at the top of a comparison, then ask for the medication charge and care charge underneath. This prevents an apparently inexpensive consultation from being mistaken for an all-inclusive treatment plan.

A wider menu can make a simple comparison harder

The catalog also lists oral semaglutide and oral tirzepatide programs. They should be assessed separately from injections and from an FDA-approved branded pill. A similar ingredient name does not mean the same preparation, absorption or clinical evidence.

The wider menu is useful if you are still discussing options with a clinician. It is less useful as a shopping shortcut. I would want a specific reason for the proposed preparation and the dispensing pharmacy’s name before treating the menu as a recommendation.

Does this care model fit?

Review the current offer and the terms for your selected plan.

Explore BeyondMDA prescription requires an individual clinical assessment.

The appointment is only the beginning of the budget

BeyondMD says a provider may request baseline laboratory work. The public program list does not establish a complete recurring total for every reader. Ask whether any requested testing is included, where it is performed and whether a separate bill can arrive.

The first-year cost tool is useful once you have those numbers. Keep a genuinely unknown fee marked as unknown rather than entering zero; otherwise the comparison rewards whichever provider explains the least.

My comparison would follow the care route

For a branded prescription with continuing specialist support, read Form Health. For a bundled compounded-injection offer with published billing choices, compare Trimi. These alternatives answer different needs and should not be treated as a single clinical ranking.

BeyondMD is most compelling when the clinician can translate its broad catalog into a clearly defined plan. Until then, the program price is a starting point for questions, not the final cost of treatment.

A different fit might be better.

Compare the reason for choosing each service, not just the name on the offer.

Based on published provider information, not personal treatment. Our review standards explain how we assess offers. A clinician must determine individual treatment suitability.
